Dunno if this is the right place to put it, but since it's all to do with iCloud I whacked it in here.

Anyway, I don't fully understand iTunes Match.

Say for example I paid for a subscription, it scanned all my music and added it to iCloud, if I didn't renew the subscription the following year, would I still be able to download the matched tracks? Or would I need to keep renewing it to get everything again?

Basically, my thinking was, I could use iTunes Match, get all my songs matched. The following year, don't renew the subscription. Then, say I lost my music on my HDD, I could then just re-download all my music again through iTunes, because they're now added to my account? Apparently that's not how it works?

I dun geddit.

If your iTunes Match subscription runs out, all music you haven't purchased through iTunes will no longer be available for download. You'd have to keep paying the subscription fee for it to keep working which is to be expected.
