How do I get "Not Eligible" Videos on iPhone or iPad?

For example I have a few Weird Al videos that are not eligible along with all of the videos from "Metallica: The Videos 1989-2004".

Even though they are checked in iTunes they were removed from my devices when I synced after Match was turned on.

Videos aren't supported by Match. You still sync videos like you did the old way, by syncing with your computer.

Not true. All of the rest of my videos are supported.

Also when I turn on match I can't sync the old way. Checking and unchecked songs or videos does nothing although movies sync the way they always did.

I have a similar question about "Not Eligible" music posted below. I'll be interested what you find.

I've got the same issue. 90% of my music videos made it, but I can't get the rest to sync to my iPad... haven't been able to find a solution yet.

This is only true of TV Shows and Movies. Music Videos were synced on the Music tab, which of course is no longer an option if you have iTunes Match enabled. I suppose you could temporarily change the media type of your music videos to TV Shows or Movies in order to get them to sync to the device, but that hardly seems like an ideal solution.

I opened a case with Apple. They are looking into it, she said I'm doing everything right and looks to be a problem on their end. Videos shouldn't be "Not Eligable".

thanks... you are correct.... your own music videos you have gotten from other sources outside of the itunes store are not eligible for itunes match and will not upload. nor is there a way to add them to your ios devices if you have itunes match turned on. Seems like a glaring oversight from apple. very unusual. i suspect they'll have to fix this in a future update... at the very least you should be able to sync them manually even if they aren't part of itunes match.

yep music videos that havent been purchased in the store dont match and therefore cant be synched. guess ill have to tag them as movies for now

All of my videos were purchased through iTunes. The ones that are "Not Eligible" are videos that were purchased through as a bundle.

Nope - all my music videos are bought through iTunes, but a handful are tagged as ineligible. I suspect it's either a bug or a copyright issue.

I found that with iTunes enabled you can now manually add videos. This is a huge bonus!

Can't you just drag your inelgible music video over to your iPhone/iPod Touch and it should copy over?
That's what I did with some music videos I had.

Make sure under the summary tab that you check 'Manually Manage Videos'.

How do you Open a Case with Apple about this? I have one that is also coming up as not eligible... also an iTunes LP Booklet... Thanks

I have about 140 music videos that are marked as ineligible but it is because they were purchased under a different Apple ID. This happens because the videos contain DRM and unlike iTunes purchased music, music is not DRM protected, music videos are.
