I’ve been happy for several years with Google Play music’s upload feature. However, I recently migrated to YouTube Music and, while my uploads were transferred over to the new platform, the interface for accessing and playing them is basically unworkable. There is no search capability at all for uploads and you have to scroll through basically everything to find what you want. It’s dreadful.

My solution a few days ago was to subscribe to iTunes Match. However, I’m not sure if it is scanning and uploading in a way that will actually complete. I have over 46,000 tracks in my library and what it has been doing since I added my Windows 10 PC to Match is going through a process of matching, uploading a few thousand tracks, scanning for matches again and repeat. It seems like it is uploading different tracks with each cycle of this, but the “of” number of tracks (as in 3456 of 46432) never actually goes down. In fact it ticks upward after each uploaded track. This has been going on for several days now. I have absolutely no objection at all to patiently waiting for this to finish as long as I know it is actually going to finish.

Does anyone have experience using Match with Windows 10 and a large collection?

I don’t have experience with windows 10 but I do know that matching and upoading takes forever on large collections, so I would advise to be patient, I recently ditched match for Apple Music, I know it’s more expensive but it’s far easier and pretty much everything I had on match is available on Apple Music without the hassle of uploading stuff etc...

@Frumious B
I am experiencing the same behaviour, albeit on a macbook and not windows system.
Subscribed to itunes match 1 week ago, and my macbook has been running since then to give it time to upload my roughly 30,000 tracks of music (240 gigs, 50 mbit upload)
I created several smart playlists (one for cloud status "matched", one for cloud status "uploaded" and so on) to track the progress, but for days ist is now stuck at 25,000 songs matched - and everytime i click on "update icloud music" from the menu, it starts all over again with an upload process, beginning at 0 songs of 14.000, then climbing to eventually s.th. like 10.000 of 24.000, to finally stop with no error message etc. But evidently not everything ist uploaded, I still have songs that say "matched" with and without a little cloud icon - the ones with cloud icon are not accessible on other devices.
Already tried deactivating / reactivating icloud sync, same result.
Only thing left is deleting everything and reuploading again, but that is really the last resort.

Your post is already 3 months hope - were you able to resolve it?
Thanks for feedback!

And sorry for my english, not a native speaker ;)

thx

Got it resolved. Created a new music library (pressing option key while opening the music app), enabled cloud sync and deleted all problematic songs. This way the songs only got deleted online. I then restarted the music app, again by holding the option key, and then choosing the old library. All problematic songs had a "removed" status, but were of course still on my hard drive. I then did a right click on them and choose "add to library/icloud (dont know what it is called in english). Did only max. 500 songs at once - that seemed to do the trick. Everything fine now.
