differences between various apple products , may need changing .
maybe someone would find this post informative, the OP didn't ask for differences.

1) pay nothing.
you buy your songs from iTunes and rip your own cds , and sync them from iTunes to your iPhone and iPod
listen to beats 1 or iTunes radio for free with commercials
2) pay $25 a year for iTunes match
you buy your songs from iTunes and rip your own cds. your entire music library up to 25,000 gets put on iCloud.
you don't sync to your iPhone or iPod, you download / stream from the cloud
listen to itunes radio without commerciials
listen to beats one ( with or without commercials i am not really sure )
upgrade or match your songs , no matter where you got them to iTunes retail store copies that never expire, even if you cancel.
trade in your purchased iTunes songs that have DRM to iTunes DRM free iTunes Plus store copies.
3) pay $9.99 or $14.99 a month for Apple Music
you buy your songs from iTunes and rip your own cds. your entire music library up to 25000 songs gets put on iCloud.
you don't sync your iPhone or iPod, you download / stream from the cloud
listen to itunes radio without commercials
listen to beats one (with out commercials ) not sure
listen to beats one and skip songs
unlimited skips on iTunes radio and beats one
upgrade or match your own songs, no matter where you got them to apple retail store copies THAT DO EXPIRE once you cancel apple music
download / play / save every single song from the iTunes store and they will play as long as you do not cancel apple music.


they really buried iTunes match, it is now called music in the cloud, and i think you have to go to your apple account or the iTunes store to buy it and it cant be bought on the device
