Hi - I'm wondering if any beta testers could give us some insight into how ID3 tags, and organizational structure are handled in iTunes Match/iCloud. If iTMatch matches a song, and I want to use the iTunes version (higher bitrate, official artwork), will my ID3 tags/ratings be preserved on the newly downloaded or streamed track?

I'm concerned about this, because about 70% of my library is classical, and I've got the tracks organized in a very custom fashion, that I'm afraid I'll lose if I use iTMatch. Does iTMatch give you an option to use the official iTunes metadata vs. your own?

Thanks.

For the most part it preserves the tags. I have lyrics saved to most of my songs. It does not preserve lyrics. Matched or uploaded the lyrics all disappeared. It did keep any notes though and did keep the organization the same. I have some artists in my collections that have lots of b-sides. I changed the name of the album on those (to Coldplay B-Sides, for example) and it still matched some of the songs, but did not change the custom name of the album.
