I have a iPhone 6, with 128GB storage. Late last year I spent a day on and off to manually download all the music that was in iTunes Match as I sometimes have ****** coverage for streaming.

Today, all that work was left useless. I was listening to music when the Music app suddenly showed Syncing iTunes Match. After that, not a single song was left stored on my iPhone.

Can someone please, for the love of all that is holy, tell me WHY this happened?

It's a ****** job pressing the cloud icon on EVERY GODAMN song in the library to download it again!!!!

Is there a easier way? (There's about 3000 songs waiting to be downloaded...)

Put the songs you want on the phone into a playlist in iTunes. Once the playlist appears on the phone, select it and there should be a "download all" button at the top.

Brilliant tip! Thanks!
