Hey guys, I'm having some issues with itunes match and my iphone 4, hoping you can help me out.

I enable itunes match on my iphone and download only the songs I want. After that, I turn off the option to show entire library, but my phone still recognizes my entire library and doesn't reflect what's on my phone...

Additionally, it shows that I have 30 videos when in reality I only downloaded 4 plus another 5 in my camera roll...

The key word here is "Show". I do not believe that the phone ever severs the connection to iCloud when you have Match enabled. Instead, it simply gives you the option to show the songs or not.

If they were deleting the downloaded artwork and meta data each time you toggled that option, it would take a while to get it all back once you enable it again (see: more bandwidth wasted).

Well if I turn off itunes match completely, it only leaves the 814 songs and gives me a few more gb of open space.

Which makes sense, because you no longer have access to the other thousands of tracks. The additional space is likely related to the album artwork and meta data being removed from the device.

I guess what I'm trying to get at is that if I choose to show all avail songs for download, it shouldn't take up my available memory. I wasn't able to take a photo because I was out of memory even though my iphone had only 814 songs, but because of this it thought it had the 3,000.
