I just decided to try iTunes Match and like it so far, anyway it matched many of my songs and uploaded a few as well maybe because not being named correctly or whatever the reason, my question is has anyone deleted a song that was uploaded and not matched and reapplied it to the cloud and got it to match? Just curious before i start renaming the files that were not matched.

Renaming does not work. It's the music footprint that isn't recognized.

Yep. It seems iTunes Match doesn't look at the metadata at all. I got it to recognize some more songs by re-ripping them from the original CDs in AAC format (instead of the LAME MP3 format that I had originally used years ago), but it's still hit and miss.

Yeah it seems it might be the file itself, i tried renaming and nothing so i actually edited the file trimming the beginning and end and uploaded it and it took it. It seems with songs that are remixes, same song just with an added vocal track don't seem to work, but yeah just seems like a hit or miss.
