It seems they removed the paragraph mentioning the 25k limit around the end of June, so I don't think anything has changed (yet). Have they said for sure that they're upping the limit?

I am still getting an error message saying that more than 25k songs cannot be uploaded, so no change yet in the UK.

Does anyone have any new information on this? I, along with many, would really enjoy and take advantage of the increase. I have been itching (like crazy) to upgrade to ios 9 ever since this feature was announced/tweeted.

It looks like Match is now iCloud Music Library. I called support regarding the 100k song limit and they said they are aware of it and it is because of so many users downloading and installing iOS9 it is causing problems. But they are working on a fix. So basically hurry up and wait.

I'm still hitting the 25k limit. And yes, it is because of all of my Phish bootlegs. Is 100k really still happening?

I'm also getting the warning that I can't update any more songs to my cloud library since i've hit the 25k limit. I guess it'll happen some day...

(My Match reappeared and is still 25k)

It's yet another bizarre decision from Apple. Surely they realise that once the free trials are over in two weeks very few people will be willing to pay 9.99 to do what essentially would be another trial – use the Android app and 100k limit.

I have a vacation which I was looking forward to taking my 400gb music collection with. Then again do I really want to open such a large collection on a IOS device? It always use to lag so much with just 200gb. plus the nightmare of itunes libraries losing their marbles with recent updates lately and connections with apple music / icloud.

My iTunes collection of many years in order is precious to me and I am tied to it in a way, I back up before updates as with apples track record with itunes is not good. I cringe after every redesign and update hoping it doesn't fall apart! being patient is key I guess.

I've been able to add some new tracks to Match, but not others. I no longer get the error message about the upload limit, but I've still got tracks that won't add. Who even knows.

I too am waiting for the 25k limit to be lifted. And I also have a carefully curated library.

I highly doubt -- even when the limit is lifted -- that the service will function as expected.

Take, for example, a matched song. Does it also store your metadata or does it discard and replace with that from the service? If so, total nonstarter for me as most basically, the existing genres are so uninformative. Sorry, that's a bit of a thread hijack.

Now back to waiting.

Oh I defiantly know to wait after a release and to log onto forums to see the damage its caused to others :D. Take Apple music, I was hopeful but wary and the amount of the threads that cropped up of libraries of botching up, I did not want to risk it. I did turn it on after a backup, and it downloaded all my songs from my 2 devices, thus giving me 3 copies of every song and every playlist, I turned it off before it finished downloading them all. I actually enjoy and subscribe to Apple Music and have sussed how to sync to my IOS devices from my main library without turning Apple Music on my mac.

My local library stays local.

I digress from orginal topic anyway, they seem to be taking their time with this 100k limit, if I will go ahead with it will take another month to check back one night and see the damage in these forums :p.
