Hi, is it possible to use iTunes Match without having to upload?
I just want to match what i have in my library not upload, can i just cancel when it gets to step 3 and it will keep my match's?

i don't want to pay before knowing if it's possible.

Not really. You'd have to enable iTunes Match on your library, let it complete the initial scan, match and upload sequence and then delete the songs that were uploaded.

May I ask why you are trying to use Match without the upload capability?

i have a super slow upload speed, would take days.
i can tell there's a lot to upload, just looking at my spotify library.

my idea was using iTunes match as a backup, if something happen to my drives i could at least get my matches back for a small price.

But.. you'd be paying a fee for a partial, and broken service.

Just start it and let it run. Go to bed at night, work during the day. Whatever, it's not a big deal. I think mine took 2 days and didn't impact me much.
