I'm going to be building a media server that I plan to put all of our cds/records and dvds on to. I was wondering if there was a way to set it up so I could put all my itunes music on there (cds & purchased) so when I access it from the server it's all the music. But when I go on my computer I can get just my library (so I don't get my mom's music on my ipod) and when my mom goes on her computer she can get just her music. It would be cool though If I could still access mine from her computer too but I doubt she wants my music on her Ipod. Is there any way to do this? Thanks!

Yes, but it depends on how complicated you want to make your setup.

if you have multiple logins, you can share the same library among the multiple logins, and simply remove songs from the list without actually deleting them (select no to the 2nd popup window when you go to delete a song from your library). Since each login will have their own library file, it won't matter what songs are removed from playlists or the library catalogue for one user, when compared to the other.

This can be set in the Itunes preferences, and the advanced section.

Thanks. I'll mess with it when I get all the hardware.
