Since using iOS 12 I have issues with the data consuption of the phone, all my music has been downloaded so I can listen to music offline, and the mobile data usage for Music app is disabled, as many other iOS apps, last night my phone used 1.2 GB under System services -> iTunes Media Services.

I wonder, does anyone else have an issue like this?

If so, what can I do to fix it?

Thanks guys!

Another 2 GB consumed last night, I reset my data statistics since the problem begun

This is getting ridiculous, I submitted a big report and Apple now requested baseband and sysdiagnostics logs, it look like Apple have some serious issue that has not been accepted by then

I know, so far nothing has been able to fix this problem, I had to purchase an unlimited data addon for my line, unfortunately here in my country this addon is only work on nights (22:00 to 7:00)

The problem happens even when you disable data completely, looks like iOS is not honoring data off options, I don't know what the hell is happening but this is crearly a serious issue Apple's refuses to aknowledge :(

I called Apple and explained the issue I was having with Itunes Media Services consuming so much data. They told me it was possibly due to a corrupt file that was on the phone after doing an Itunes Backup. They instructed me to do the following.

1. Create a backup to the ICloud and not using Itunes.
2 Perform a Reset - Erase All Content and Settings.
3. Setup the phone using the ICloud backup.

This is only my first few hours on a non wi-fi network using cellular data and I can report that so far so good - Itunes Media Services is not even listed as using any data at this point. I will update this next week as more days go by.

This is definitely worth a shot for those experiencing the same issue.

Thanks for the information! indeed, I think this happened after an iTunes Backup, but I have a question:

Should I delete the current iCloud backup and then do a new one?

Thanks!
