I have a movie in iTunes in a m4v format and it won't show up on my iPod. I have played it in iTunes and it works fine. All the other video movies show up on the iPod except for this one.

What can I do to get it to show up?

Thanks!

The iPod doesn't play everything that QuickTime (and, by extension, iTunes) will. Did you roll this file yourself? You might not have adhered to the H.264 standards supported by the iPod.

Right-click on the file and select "convert to iPod/iPhone". The video is likely compressed using a higher bit-rate than the iPod can decompress. As a result it won't transfer (usually giving a warning) but will still play in iTunes. A friend of mine made some videos for me that were double passed .h264 and were 178MB each, I have to re-convert them and they baloon to 289MB.
