So I downloaded Backup 3 from .Mac in order to back up all my music. I chose "iTunes library" as my backup source and clicked "backup". It proceeds to tell me I'll need 10 DVD's to finish the backup? I look at my screen icredulously, as my iTunes library is only 21.63 gigs, according to iTunes, and my small video collection is less than a gig. So I check my iTunes music folder in my home folder, and it reads 35 gigs. What gives?

If you have a lot of spare hard drive space, go to the iTunes preferences and under the Advanced section, change your music library's location to a different folder. This should copy across all your music to that new spot, meaning you can then delete the original iTunes Music folder (or whatever you had it named as). :)
