Itunes Music Folders

When i point itunes to the Drive with all my music filed in, how do i stop Itunes creating a new folder for every artist ?

Its driving me mad i had my music all filed by artist / album and i now have loads of extra folders with single tracks in.

Uncheck "Keep iTunes Music folder organized" and "Copy files to iTunes Music folder when adding to library" in preferences.

It's not that bad to let iTunes organize the music, though. You don't really need to access the files anymore when you start using iTunes.
