Long story short....

Moved my iTunes library to an external server and erased the original files from my desktop thinking all would be safe.

I know, stupid.

The server is just too slow.

So, I moved my iTunes folder back to my desktop. All my music and playlists are showing up -- BUT -- the paths of all the music have changed.

I have about 9,000 songs, most of which cannot be played because every time I click on a song I get an exclamation mark next to the song and a message that the path has been changed.

Doing some research, it seems I can go into the XML file and change the paths back. However, I am not sure this is still the solution with the newest version of iTunes.

Anyone have a solution to this issue? Thanks in advance

I would delete all the songs in the iTunes library and re-add them. At that point they should have the correct paths.
