iTunes not letting me download music states can not download for 90 Days

Ok, seen this once before but not sure what happened. I recently installed a new SSD into my MBP then downloaded all my past purchases in iTunes for both of my accounts. Two weeks later SSD Died, went back to original HDD until it gets replaced.

Freash OS install and I tried to login into iTunes and download all my stuff but now I am getting an error with both accounts stating I have to wait 74 days until I can use this id to download again, it will also not let me setup automatic downloads of apps and music on my iPhone or MBP?

Anyway to correct this without having to call Apple?

You need to learn a lesson, always backup, seems you didn't otherwise you could have carbon copied your OS!

Really what lesson is that? I did not lose any data, iTunes is just restricting me from downloading anything using that account?

The SSD went bad, so what are you suggesting I should have done since you made the comment you made???

You lost setting, if you had a carbon copy of your system all you had to do is to restore the copy onto the HD, it would work right away.

I wasn't talking about files remotely stored like Apps, Music,movies and iCloud, I was purely talking about your setup, now you had to start from scratch and got into problems, with a backup you would be up and running within the time it took to restore your backup.

I am not here to patronise you, I just wanted to warn you that having a backup is always the better choice, HD's and SSD will always fails, 100% guaranteed, it can take weeks,months or even years but they all fail.

Backing up your data would have been ideal. Yes....the iTunes download option is there (in theory it seems), but you should always be diligent in making sure you have multiple points of backup for your data (i.e., local to an external HDD and then somewhere remote.....personally I use Time Machine and Crash Plan).

I have it on a Time Machine backup, but now my phone doesn't let me download the new apps and songs, after entering the password into iTunes on the new drive, it states I can not download it for another 70+ days?

Seems that limitation Apple has about downloading previous apps and music once every 90 days is now blocking me since I am using two different accounts since there is no way to merge the two iTunes accounts, another crappy feature of iTunes.

My guess is there is some sort of security thing on your account right now....because what you are seeing is not normal.

Call them...they are the only ones that can square this away at this point.
