Hi,

I'm new to this forum and was wondering if anyone could help with the above problem I was having?

Here's the thing:

I have an album stored on my laptop with track numbers i.e Track 1,2,3,4 and so on. Now when I send to my iTunes library it is still in the correct order, but when I play on my ipod they appear to be played like this Track 16,04,09,12 and so on?

Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong? By the way i have a 2nd gen ipod nano and this is the first time it has happened to me

Thanks in advance

Are the track numbers on the "name" colum on itunes, or on the filename, or actually in the properties for each file under the "Track #" column?

Is shuffle on?

If you double click on the tracks in iTunes and select 'Get info' > info you can then tell it that this track is number x out of y and also number the disc if it's in a set. That way, when it goes to the ipod it will be in the correct order.

That stumped me too at first and I only solved it with the help of someone on here!
