Hello, I just got an apple tv and I wanted to connect it to itunes and I plugged in the cord and it's not recognizing it. The hdmi and mini micro usb wouldn't fit at the same time..does the hdmi need to be plugged in too? Please help! Thank you!!

So, your ATV is not seeing ITUnes on your computer? Do you have wifi in your house, do you have your atv connected to your ISP if you do not have wireless in your house?
no itunes is not recognizing the apple tv when i plug in with usb. the atv is working fine..I was under the impression that I could restore and update with itunes using a mini usb, I just wanted to check it out and it wont even show up in itunes. I've got the newest version.
I do not own an Apple TV, but I was under the impression that the USB is not meant for being hooked up to your computer to update itunes. It is all done via wireless network. However, since I do not own one I am only speculating based on what I have read.

i think those were talking about the original atv..i have the new atv2..I know you can jailbreak it too and you need a micro usb for that also which is what I have..It's not showing up in tiny umbrella either..
