When I plug the iPhone into the iMac iPhoto still pops up. So I know its not my wires or anything. Does iTunes have some kind of protection? The songs are from a buddies itunes, we burned the music and threw it on my mac and sync them to itunes.

Not the kind that would affect your iPhone i dont think. It might be what you downloaded from Limewire. Limewire is a horrible program for music and i wouldnt reccomend it for anyone. Its fulll of loathing and hateeeeee.

Get rid of all songs from limewire. Hope that works. Do you have a backup? If so, restore iTunes from that backup.

So the phone shows up in iTunes?

If the imported songs are in your library, when you do a complete sync with the iPhone it should put them all on.

no it isnt showing up.

its strange that it happened that way, but it may just be a coincidence.

i have seen reports of this happening, even with the newest version of itunes. other people have solved it by removing and reinstalling itunes.

but first... have you even restarted it since then? or even closed and reopened itunes?
