I got a new iPhone a few months ago, but never synched it to iTunes. Today I tried to, to start putting my music onto the phone. But when I plugged in, it only gave me 2 options. Set it up as a new iPhone, or restore as backup of my iPad, which makes no sense.

Is there a way to make these two get along without setting up as a new iPhone and erasing everything I've put on it in the last few months? I know I can offload the photos, but my main concern is losing all my texts, as well as other data.

Thanks!

Use "Set it up as a new iPhone", it won't erase it. It's just asking. ;)

Indeed, I think it's more of a choice between restore from back-up or not. I've had that too, an chose set up as new, event though I had stuff on it.
