I have this annoying problem in iTunes.
Inside iTunes when I chose podcast up in the left corner I can see podscasts, but also a lot of songs, and I cannot delete them.
Some of the podcast I can't delete either, they just stay in the list.
I also try to sync podcast between my mac, my ipad and iphone, but my Mac doesn't sync with the others.
