Hi Guys.

I pre ordered in HD, the Wolf of Wall Street, in Australia, with a presumed release date of 18th of March. Today it is the 21st, and it is still not 'available for download'.

On the usual sites, the torrents have been up for almost a week now. Safe to say, i may have resorted to downloading a version of these, as i needed the movie for a movie night.

My questions.

1) how can Apple afford to not highlight under each movie (only some have this) the release date of the movie for iTunes?

2) How is Apple hoping to keep customers paying for their movies, when they are so far behind the piracy releases.

I still am going to purchase the legal version of the movie, but this experience raises some questions, and hopefull you guys are a little more expericned with the iTunes store than i am.

Thank you

looks to be available to me...but I am in the US.

not sure if that has any affect on this. (sorry no help here)

In the US, it very clearly shows available for rent March 24. But I can buy it now for $19.99 USD.

Every country is different. I can't speak to Torrents, as they're bad news.

It's just a case where the movie is released later than in the US, not just on iTunes. The DVD/Blu-ray release date of the movie in Australia is May 28 (whereas the US discs come out on March 25). The iTunes version will probably come out around that time too.

Apple has no say so what so ever on when a movie is released. It is 100% up to the studio's that own the distribution rights in your country to tell Apple the dates and to honor them.
