Theres SUCH an annoying problem with iTunes in yosemite!!

If you search something in iTunes then clear the search it brings you back to the top of your music instead of the album or song you're clicked on. It always takes you out of wtvr you're on once you clear the search.

In other words lets say I search I'm listening to Frank Zappa but search The Residents and then clear the search it won't keep me by the Residents albums or the Residents album I was clicked on. It'll just bring me to the very top of iTunes. Very frustrating

Wtfffffedfjdwhks. This is beyond annoying. Is it just a bug for me or is this for everyone?

When I type in the search box, a popup window with matches appears. If I clear the search box the popup goes away and I'm still where I was. Just don't hit the enter key while you're searching.

A popup window showed up for me before yosemite but I don't have that now! If I search something it automatically searches for it and brings me there and then once I clear it wtvr I wrote in the search it brings me to the top of the iTunes!

I guess this is a bug

Could it be a setting I have on? Cause judging from that comment this isn't how iTunes is normally supposed to act and its been bothering me SO much since I updated.

Don't know if it's a bug. Use case: start playing an album, search for artists #1, then #2, then #3. What is the "undo" in this scenario? Go back to #2? Playing track? And no matter the action, someone will complain "why didn't it..."

To get back to the album, right-click on the track display (whatever they call that box top-center of iTunes window), Go To Current Song. Back to the album.

Oh and: as stated above, don't hit enter on search, navigate with the scrolled list and it will stick to whatever you have on-screen playing/viewing.

I'm not hitting enter on search. it just searches and narrows down albums automatically. Lets say I search the album "Pinkerton" no matter what its only gonna show me pinkerton and then I have to delete everything from the search to see everything else again BUTTTT when I erase "pinkerton" from the search it'll take me outta the album and to the top of iTunes.

Understand the dilemma?

If I search for an album, pay it and then erase it from my search it brings me out of that album and then I have to click on "go to album" to go back to it which is extremely annoying

Also lets say I write "Pinkerton" in the search and then go into a playlist that doesn't have Pinkerton it'll show nothing because it won't erase whats written in the search box
