Main imac - Home account using my mac email address- use to upload movies, TV shows, etc, to APTV 4 and various APTVs around my house.
Up until this week, was using an android phone on that account, so was not synched, obviously.

2nd cell phone was an iphone, a separate mac address.
Used the imac iTunes to control his music for his iphone.

This week bought a new iphone.
iTunes does not handle 2 iphones on one account.

Opened up the imac and ran a second account.
Under that account, hooked up his iphone, set up a new iTunes on it, now has music on his phone and no need to worry about confusing libraries.

When I go back to my 1st, main account on the iMac, I am naturally now logging in using my mac address but this time trying to synch my iPhone to this iTunes.
So far, movies, tv shows, etc, are still streaming to my TVs but i can't seem to get music onto my iPhone.

In fact, when I uploaded music yesterday, my iphone would show up in iTunes but no longer does.

The music i have tried to put onto my iPhone, shows up on the TV but not in the iPhone.

Any idea what i am doing wrong?

Secondly IS there another app I can use to successfully transfer music to my iphone, other than iTunes?

T.I.A.

I've never been able to run 2 separate Apple ID iTunes accounts on the same iMac at the same time - I'm surprised you didn't get a warning saying you'll be locked out of your other account for 90 days.

That was my fear but no, no such warning.

I have a second MacBook Pro that i purchased a new SSD drive for.
Been putting it off only because i never found the time to figure out how to do that myself.
Yet here it sits a year later unused.
Just going to take it into someone today and have them do it, than control one iphone that way.

Wish there were another software.
its one of the reasons i chose android for so long, for my main phone.
