For many years now when I've made an iTunes purchase of a song / album on any of my devices my other devices all automatically download that content. I recently purchased a few songs on my iPhone and noticed that my Mac was not downloading them automatically... I had to go into the Purchased section of the iTunes Store and manually download them. I looked in my Music app preferences on my Mac to see if the automatic download option had been unchecked, but I don't even see it anymore. Note that I am not an Apple Music / iTunes Match subscriber, and I found this product support page about available Preferences in Music: https://support.apple.com/guide/music/general-preferences-mus4130f48/mac

It notes...
Automatic DownloadsWhen you make purchases from the iTunes Store on your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, or on another computer, the purchased items are automatically downloaded to this computer.
Note: This option appears if you’re signed in as a subscriber to Apple Music or iTunes Match.

So yeah... I guess that feature, which was formerly available without the need for any sort of subscription, is paywalled now. Just an FYI.
