In iTunes, I want to make sure one playlist contains all the songs another playlist does. There are several hundred so manually looking isn't going to work. I wanted to know if there was a way I could just copy one playlist into the other and clear duplicate entries. Is this possible?

If you want to do it that way, and I personally don't know of a better way, it's pretty easy.

In the playlist that has the stuff you want in the other one, select them all, then drag them to the second playlist, then go into the second playlist, and you could probably sort by anything and all the duplicates would be next to each other, but I would sort by name personally.
