Thread title pretty much says it all. The Remote app was not (yet) updated for iOS 7. Worse (for me, as it's a huge part of how my music ecosystem functions) and as a result, the app doesn't control the iTunes Radio on my Mac.

Somewhat similarly, iTunes Radio on my idevices cannot airplay.

Anyone else seeing this?

Hopefully Apple with provide an update for the Remote app soon.

As for AirPlay, you need to bring up the control panel and set it there. I just tested it and it works. This is also how you have to set it when playing music (at least on the iPod touch) with iOS 7.

Wow Bear thanks. I hadn't realized that airplay now lived in the control center. Thanks, try helpful.

Hmm. That said...Not sure I prefer that to having it in the apps themselves (though I wonder if this means that airplay is now universal whether in a given app or not?) but I suppose it's roughly the same amount of "work" to call up control center vs the icon in the app.

Onto waiting for a Remote update. It's funny...Remote still lists Radio, and up come all the old categories. But there are no longer any stations listed within the categories. It's a weirdly "asleep at the switch" oversight for Apple it seems, especially with all the hoopla surround iTunes Radio. It's not exactly a minor thing for Apple!

Anyway thanks again!

frustrating for sure

Funny thing, you can play a new iTunes radio station from your mac, stream it via airplay and then even control the station with the current remote app (next song, pause, etc.) but you can't change the channel. And you cannot place a station in a playlist and play it from there via remote (a nice hack for the old radio stations). An updated app is certainly in order...ASAP I hope!

Also there is no Star and instead has a nonfunctioning skip back button.

Exactly! Some basic controls, but I still have to begin by walking (upstairs) to my Mac. Fwiw I've tried streaming from iPads and iPhones to the same airplay system but there are little drops here and there...very annoying. The signal from the Mac is rock solid so I really need this to be addressed for me to use iTunes Radio with any regularity.

Btw I didn't know about that trick with the old iTunes Radio stations being added to playlists. I used to just navigate to them directly from within the Remote app.

I think it's weird that they haven't yet updated Remote. However, and HFS I just realized something:

Perhaps a very large update is coming to Remote when the ATV is updated (and I mean really updated).

We shall see.

Yes, why is this? I've been going nuts to try and figure this out!!! You can do it with the old radio stations, but not the new itunes radio. Is that what it's called?
