iTunes radio question

Currently running iTunes 4.

Is there a way to add radio stations to the little iTunes radio channel? I'm going to be moving soon, but I'd like to be able to conveniently listen to my old radio stations (I could go listen via their website, but if I could get them in iTunes...that would be awesome!)

Not sure where your radio stations come from, but for me,when I connect to a station via iTunes, it appears in my library...by highlighting it and pressing ^cmd-n I just put them each in their own folder...doesn't help with putting in your radio folder, I admit...nice to see someone from Austin...I miss it there (I live in Portland now)...hope this helps...

I'd like them in the radio folder...but I'll give that a go.

Austin is a fine town, but I'm leavin' for grad school (knock on wood). I can't imagine listening to a station other than 107.1 KGSR.

If you click on a radio address in a browser it should open in iTunes. Then you can add it to a custom library.

just isn't possible. that menu of default radio stations can not be modified as it is remote data that is streamed to your machine. kind of like the iTunes Music Store. best thing you can do is keep a custom playlist of your favorite stations. what i always wonder is who is actually in charge of maintaining that list. it changes slightly all the time. and it's not like they are actual Apple radio stations or anything. most of them are just regular people's streams through Live365. it's a mystery. would be a cool job though!

If Apple is looking to hire guys to decide which radio stations get put in the list, I'll be available after May of this year.

107.1 KGSR Austin/Bastrop should be on the list...it's consistently voted one of the top 10 non-corporate stations in the country. They play everything from the Stones to Lyle Lovett, to local Austin favorites like Patty Griffin, funky folk to rock to country (Texas style). Good stuff.

Yeah I want the radio with the radio as well it took me a while to realize you couldn't do that.
