iTunes re-syncing same songs?

Anyone have the issue where iTunes copies over the same songs each time it is connected to the dock?
This is happening to me, and as far as I know, the songs in question have not been altered to warrant a re-copy.

Have you played these songs between syncs? iTunes sees even those counts as reason enough to do an update.

Mine does not re-sync songs and I listen to my "PhonePod" all the time.
