When did these two become out of sync? Showing apps by release date in iTunes appears to be accurate, but if you look at the listing on the iPhone AppStore it is all over the place? Has anyone else noticed this? What is going on?

Apple's whole release date process is broken. Every app update I submit gets lost pages behind the new releases because the release date is that of the previous version until I change it. That's all I can think of.

Well, even if I change the date the AppStore on the iPhone does not reflect the change. It only show up in the iTunes application for Mac/PC.

If you look at "By Release Date" in iTunes for any given category, then look at it on your iPhone in the AppStore, the two are not even remotely similar lists.
