I just got a pair of bluetooth earbuds (TaoTronics TT-BH07) and when I connect them to my MacBook Pro and use them with iTunes, playback won't start and shows this, does not play, move across the seek area or anything, until I close iTunes (CMD + Q) and reopen it. Then it works just fine, until I disconnect my bluetooth device or restart my MBP. It's kind of a pain, so I'm wondering what can be done about it.

MBP 17" mid 2009 running 10.11.6 and iTunes (latest version)
