itunes & retrospect quiting when opening

Hi,
G5 1.8 dual proc. 10.4.3 2.5 gigs of ram Itunes 6.0.2

1. Itunes opens but when I click on a song or radio, program quits.
2. Retrospect quits on opening.
3. Pressing volume up and mute buttons on the key board causes all programs to quit and blue fills the screen and then it goes to the finder,
almost like a restart. Changed key boards and no change. checked hot keys,
everything was normal.

All other programs working fine.

I ran Techtools pro 4 and disk warrior from their CDs
I have run Repair permissions and verified the hard disk from the tiger DVD
Please help!!!!!

Maybe methodically take out sticks of RAM to see if there's a bad chip in there. Often bad RAM doesn't come up on software diagnostic test which is why physically taking the sticks out is usually the best way to find problems, when relevant.
