Hi

Since the latest update for iTunes, the show info screen for songs (where you edit the id3 tags) has changed. I preferred the look of the previous version a lot more and it also felt more snappier, for some reason this new look lags on my laptop.

I don't know if you can revert back to the previous version, but then I will be with a constant update notification in the app store and this will annoy me...

So is there any option I perhaps overlooked or any way I can get the old info screen back?

Thanks

Yes
New iTunes Get Info: Cluster**** or Catastrophe?

As of 12.1, the old Get Info Dialog is gone. Holding down the option key while right-clicking to select from the contextual menu no longer brings it up.
Text selection in the new format dialog is horrible:
Click at the right end of a text field and drag left, the caret just sits there blinking at you.
Click on the left end of a text field and drag right, and selection works just as it always has since the Mac first came out.

Get with the program Apple, it's 2015, surely you can make Edit Text boxes that work as well as they did in 1984, under System 1.0!

The weird selection problems makes it a real PITA to clean up messy track info. Perhaps, like the file system, that's something we consumers aren't supposed to care about any more? Well, I cared this morning, and it pissed me off!

Apple seems to have done that in iTunes v12.1.2.27.
I can now drag either right to left OR left to right to select text in the track Get-Info Dialog.
It's almost as if we're in the early 90's interface-wise again! :)

12.1.2.27 is also no longer a keyboard rebel.
It recognizes Karabiner remap of the ⌘Q key combo to ⌥Q. Hallelujah!
