iTunes songs and RAM installation

I'm probably going to be buying a new MacBook soon, but I have a couple of concerns before I do so.

1. I've purchased some iTunes music on my iMac, and I'm well aware that iTunes uses a protected format. Will there be any way to transfer the songs to my MacBook and still be able to play them?

2. Obviously, 512 MB of RAM isn't going to be enough. I'm considering just ordering it with 1 GB, but if it turns out I can afford it, I may order 2 GB from NewEgg. If I do so, is there a specific brand that will work better? Also, I've heard it's been made quite a bit easier to install RAM into the MacBook; how easy are we talking?

You can authorise up to five computers to play your purchased music. If you're getting rid of the old computer, open iTunes and go to Advanced > Deauthorise Computer.

You should buy memory that is listed as Mac-compatible. It's the same physical stuff as "PC" memory but the Mac firmware is more picky.

1) You can authorize up to 5 computers to play your iTunes purchases. You can also deauthorize a computer before reformatting the drive, sending it in for service, or selling it.

2) NewEgg does not sell any RAM that they guarantee is compatible with your Mac. So it's a crapshoot. Spend a bit more and get guaranteed RAM from a company that supports Macs like Crucial, OWC or Data Memory Systems. 2 Gb is ideal. Order the MacBook with 512 Mb and add either 1 or 2 third party RAM. If you order it with 1 Gb you'll get 2x512 which you will have to pull out to upgrade.

Edit--- Nermal, you;re too fast. What time is it there anyway?
 
Go with either the Gigaram or the Patriot memory on newegg. They both have about the same number of reviews and most of the reviews are mac users :D I'll be getting the gigaram just cause its a few bucks cheaper. Whats cool about newegg is that they have really fast shipping and a good RMA policy. Also, both gigaram and patriot will not only save you a bundle, but they have a lifetime warranty as well :D
