Probably a no brainer for most of you but I'm slow on the uptake. Anyway, I checked eBay and discovered a lot of iTunes gift cards, certificates, etc. for sale that offer songs at much less than 99-cents a piece. I bought a few codes and they worked just fine. Anyway, just a heads up for all you fellow iTunes fans out there.

You just enter the code on the back of the card and next to your name in the music store is a box which has how much money in credit you have... the card just looks cool :D

yeh people use the 15 songs or wahtever it is... so the valdication nuymber cant be used again and then they decided to sell them on ebay for a ridicoulous price to see if anyone would buy them and when the person who buys it receives the card the validaction # doesnt work becuase the seller used it... basically they use the card and sell it again... rip off :)

Be very careful buying from eBay.

I bought two such cards and iTunes suspended my account. After I e-mailed iTMS (horrible customer service model by the way) they agreed to reauthorize my account. They took away all my credit and warned me not to accept certificates from that buyer any more. I was lucky enough to have a good eBay experience in that the seller agreed to refund the entire amount and apologized. iTunes on the otherhand, was awful to work with. You can ONLY e-mail customer support. There is NO number. I dare you to find a working number and attempt to call it. There simply isn't one. Once you e-mail, you have to wait a FULL 72 hours for a response. iTMS says up to 72 hours and it means that literally. Once you finally get a response you soon realize it is a "scripted" response. If you respond back for more help or some clarification, you have to wait another 72 hours for yet another "scripted" response.

I mention this because if your iTunes account is suspended while all of this takes place and you want to purchase music you are S.O.L. (and I don't mean Statute of Limitations). Just be wary of buying from someone other than iTunes directly. If you do, remember the golden rule ... if it looks to good to be true, it is! I was very fortunate in the end because I didn't lose any money but you are not covered by PayPal or eBay for "intangiable" items. In other words, if the auction says the seller will only e-mail the code to you, you will have no recourse through their system because nothing physical is being auctioned. You will have to pray you are buying from someone as nice as I had the pleasure of buying from.

Good luck!

I've had similar experiences with them trying to figure out missing credits from a gift card I received, and fully agree about this. For something that is making Apple more money than their computers (which has AppleCare and at least human support at the lowest level), Apple needs to get their act together and get a full-fledged phone-support unit on the iTMS. The only reason holding them back is money (which they don't seem to be scant on these days) and I guess a lack of angry people.
