Dont know if anyone else saw this http://www.boingboing.net/2006/01/11/itunes_update_spies_.html Its making the rounds on neowin, its a news story. From what I can gather people are complaining because itunes is sending song information to Apple when the ministore is open. This seems pretty logical and necessary seeing the ministore gives you recommendations based on what is playing, but does anyone here consider this method spyware?

The only thing I'd really be concerned about is if my song information was being used for ANY other purpose.

And while I am not a music pirate, if I were a music pirate, I'd be concerned that Apple might be allowing the RIAA to sift through uploaded song information looking for anything that might suggest piracy (e.g., not having a whole album, but just individual songs).
