I have a rMBP, a couple of months old and installed El Capitan on Wednesday.

In iTunes Store, when I look at 'My Movies' (I have a lot), there is no problem scrolling the list up or down. However, when I go to the iTunes store, scrolling the list vertically using two fingers in the middle of the screen is very jerky indeed, not a pleasant experience. If I use the scroll bar on the right hand side instead, it's silky smooth.

Anyone else seeing this?

Yes! On my MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Mid 2014). Scroll bar is fine, just two finger scrolling is choppy. Seems like the screen doesn't update while your fingers move, but once you slow down it catches up and jerks into place. On my son's (slower, but non-retina) 13" Air scrolling is fine.

Yup, that's exactly what I see. Looks like a bug.

I also do experience this. And I have also found the problem on a danish website. Their frontpage, scrolling is fast and smooth, but click to their news page, and the scrolling is very jerky.
If anyone else want to try, the site is dr.dk/nyheder (website of our national broadcaster Denmarks Radio)

I see what you mean. There's some weird stuff going on there... perhaps some Javascript issue.

The iTunes scrolling is much, much worse. At least on that web page, it does respond to your fingers in a timely fashion!

I am also experiencing this issue. I have upgraded to 11.1 and still no fix. I have noticed that if I have a window in front of iTunes and move the cursor to scroll iTunes Store while another window is in focus it is smooth. Very odd behaviour.

Performance issue? If I make the window smaller, maybe two thirds the width and hight of the screen, scrolling is much better. Not seeing it on non-retina screen since there are less pixels to push.

Doesn't explain why using the actual scroll bar would be fast though.

I'm new to this thread and I am having this same problem. When I scroll up and down with two fingers sometimes it doesn't respond at all and then after about 4-5 times it will respond. Then when I finally get to where I want to be if there is a left-right scroll option it will very often scroll the wrong bar and not at all where my arrow is actually at. In addition, when I click on a movie to look at it and then I click the back button or I swipe right to go back it will load the previous weeks page without the newer movies on it. This can be resolved by clicking the "iTunes Store" button at the top but then it completely loses my place and I have to go through the whole "scroll-no scroll" and "wrong bar scroll" issues which leaves me completely frustrated. Has anyone found a solution to this problem? Please help!

No. The problem is still there. It wasn't fixed in the recent El Capitan and iTunes updates.

Hi. Thanks for responding to my post here. I spent about two and a half hours on the phone with Apple tech support today and they are telling me that they don't have anyone else with this problem. I have searched the web for awhile and this is the only place where I have seen anyone who is describing a problem similar to this. After troubleshooting different things, Apple tech support is telling me that it must be a hardware issue with my MBP even though it's fairly new and I haven't done much with it. They're telling me that it's either my graphics card or the RAM cards need to be replaced and I should take it to an Apple store. I'm not much of a techie but I don't agree with this. I told them about this thread but they are still saying that it's just my MBP. My trackpad works fine in every other application and as far as iTunes refreshing to an old homepage using the back button, well that sounds like a software problem to me. Did you notice this problem started after the last iTunes update cuz that's when it started for me? Also when you scroll up and down does it feel like the boxes are disjointed and that the arrow is trying to grab hold of the links that it is scrolling through? I just want to see if your problem is the same as mine since I don't want them to take my MBP to do diagnostics and perhaps charge me to replace the graphics card or RAM cards when that's not the problem.

I visited two Apple Stores in London today, and both machines I tried exhibited the same behaviour. You will see that my finger gestures are smooth gentle strokes. The display scrolls erratically. Yosemite used to scroll properly.

Thank you so much for that video. That is exactly what's happening to me and now I know I don't have to take my MBP in to be serviced. I also noticed that the pointer changes from the arrow to the hand while scrolling and it appears that that coincides with the stalls. The rep I spoke with from Apple tech support gave me his number to contact him back this week and I'm going to have him look at your video.

I have a rMBP, El Capitan..... have really had no issues, but recently noticed the choppy scrolling within itunes as well. Has anyone figured out what is causing this ? I noticed choppy scrolling within pages IE, facebook photo albums when I had a failing router, but that is resolved. My wish list in itunes is THE WORST. if I two finger scroll, its choppy, any other way its fine. Also, Note, if I resize the window to small it scrolls smooth as butter. Something to do with being near full and full screen itself.

Did you ever figure anything out and are you still having the same issues ? Oddly, mine just started out of the blue.... but its the wish list that is the worst followed by the itunes store. Ironically, when I make the window as small as possible, it scrolls smooth as butter... strange.

Still there for me, I'm afraid.

Still not fix for this issue? I can't believe such a prominent issue on one of Apple's most popular apps still hasn't been rectified!

Things seem to be greatly improved in iTunes 12.4
