I've had my ATV hacked for a while (with boxee) and for some reason it now says the iTunes store is unavailable all the time (Movies/TV/Podcast). Youtube works fine, as does Boxee and anything else. Did I do something wrong? My firmware is 2.0.1.

I just tried redeeming an iTunes gift card and the store told me the server was unavailable. For whatever that's worth...

I tried to update to 2.3 and it still says iTunes store is unavailable. What the hell is going on? Is TimeWarner blocking the iTunes store on my ATV? I can access it just fine on my laptop and iPhone (connected through my WiFi as well)

Factory reset and then update to 2.3 worked. Now I gotta rehack this thing all over again....sigh

My Apple TV has been running on 2.0 firmware with a hacked patchstick for sometime now with no problem, until I updated to the latest Itunes and now I cant connect to the ITUNES store. No official confirmation of this but ive seen a number of posts on the forums now.

I wish apple would stop interfearing with my existing collection of AVI's and Xvid files that I dont really want to convert to MP4 so I can sync
with Apple TV. Its probably not a problem with Mac users but as I have come from a PC background and alot of my archives are AVI's and XVid. If apple let me sync these formats with ITUNES there would be no need to patch the Apple TV.

It appears that Apple broke the iTunes store for anything 2.0.2 and older.
