My Apple TV has been showing this for the past 12 hours or so. I can access movies, tv shows, etc... in the store by searching or viewing by genre, but I can't view the "top movies" and such. I get a message saying the store is "temporarily unavailable" and to "try again later"

Is this happening to anyone else?

Yip, same here, on the Computer as well in iTunes UK.

I can't even log in to my account.

Very strange. Haven't been able to get in since I upgraded to 8.0.2. Don't know if that's the connection!

havin the same problem here. been like this for a few days now.. think it started when the new itunes update hit but i could be wrong. i can browse tv and movies by genre.. but everything else comes up with: "The iTunes Store is currently unavailable. Try again later."

Im in europe but have a US account.

Hi All,

I have just joined the forum as i have got the very same issue, i got my AppleTv from ebay and have finally got it set up after a few teething problems,as mentioned above i can also access the iTunes store by searching and Genre but not by Top Movies/Music.

I am in the UK and got it working by re updating the software once i done that it logged in straight away.

Hope this may help you all?

Regards

Ah glad you got it working. When I try to update mine it says no updates available. Not sure whats up. I gave up and bought myself a WDTV... hopefully that will work fine. Its irritating because I enjoy the iTunes store. Its the only service I can use outside of the USA and still access US content. Netflix, Xbox, Hulu, everything will not work outside the US.

my iphone keeps giving me the message that itunes store is temporarily unavailable everytime i try to go to the app store

Hey, this just worked for me; if you have an Ipodtouch/phone or something where you can directly download the content from the apple store, and some for of content is either stalled or paused, than finish installing these apps. This should fix the problem, i think.

Solution for 'your account is temp...'

go to preferences from edit in itunes....go to advanced which is at the extreme right and then click on reset warnings and reset cache...this worked for me!!!Hope i helped
