How do I get iTunes to back up my idevices to my new ssd instead of my internal hdd(dual setup)?

My media is on my hdd but I would like it to backup all my apps and sync to the ssd. Is that possible or better to leave on the hdd?

Why on earth would you use an SSD for backup instead of the HDD? Edit: I assumed here that the both were internal, which they most likely aren't on second thought.

You can backup anything you want on the SSD. Just drag things onto it, or use Time Machine, if you are unsure on how to do it yourself.

Sorry I wasn't clear when I said backup I am talking about a backing up my iphone and ipad through Itunes. Currently I see everything that backups from my idevices still going to the hdd. Can I get it to backup those devices(through Itunes) to the internal SSD and still have my itunes media files/pictures on the internal hdd?

As far as I know, you can't change the backup location in iTunes (it backs up in ~/Library).

What you can do, however, is delete the backup folder, and create a symlink to the SSD in its place.
