Without warning and at any time, when I try to burn a playlist from iTunes 4, the burn will stopwith this warning- "Disc burning failed because of a disc failure." It is getting very frustrating. I have changed the permissions, restarted, ran DiskWarrior, everything. Sometimes the burn will complete, but about half the time it fails.

my advice is to burn the songs straight, and not through iTunes, I have never had a problem, but there are tons of other methonds to burning.

iTunes 4.01 is out now..try it..i believe it addresses this issue.

iTunes 4.01 mentions nothing about improved burning support....

every once in a while any random company can have a batch of bad blank discs. it really sucks when you are the one who ends up with them. i remember the first time i got a cd burner i bought some imation discs because they were supposed to be the best, but really they sucked so much that i ended up throwing them away and getting verbatims.

Might I ask what computer you are using?

I've had the same issue with an iBook, but it was because I was moving the computer while it was trying to burn. I let it sit on a hard surface and it worked just fine.
