I updated my iPad air to iOS11 last night and now I'm not able to complete sync'ing photos from iTunes (latest version) to my iPad air. iTunes status indicates that it has prepared the photos, and counts up the quantity being transferred but less than 100 ever complete the transfer. No error messages are provided. It just doesn't complete the transfer. Any ideas?
thx.

Update: So I did a full iOS 11 restore on the iPad and the problem still exists. Occasionally I will also get an iPad reported "internal error" (no numerical error). Chat with Apple support indicates that iOS 11 incorporated changes to favor syncing via photo stream and iCloud photo library - they say you can sync via iTunes or use iCloud but not both. So I turned off photo stream (never have had iCloud photo library turned on) and tried a sync again. No help, the problem persists. I'm wondering if the new iTunes which is now "music focused" is a contributor to this problem. I'm thinking of going back to iOS 10.3.3 to make sure I don't have a failing iPad but if it still fails there could be an iTunes software issue.

Update #2: Well, I downgraded the iPad Air to iOS 10.3.3 and now photo sync via iTunes works perfectly. I transferred >10K photos with no problem. So, I will be staying with iOS 10.3.3 until Apple provides a fix to iOS11.
