itunes update , will it speed up backups

suppose to speed up back ups, here goes...start at 3:39...end at still going at 3:45

3:54 still going "° Perform faster back-ups while syncing an iPhone or iPod touch with iOS 4;" hoping it includes ipad cause mine takes hours to synch

....4:45 and still going

6:50 still going, about 15%

i have tried to unistall, reset warnings to not send warnings, etc, nothing helps, about 8 gig music and 8 gig of video, 4 gig apps

Shouldn't matter. Backups NEED to be faster.

My back up was actually faster! I was in the same boat as others with backups that would take 20 min+. Just installed and it took maybe 5 or 6?!

How often are you all backing up your iPhones? Every time I back up mine it only takes 5 maybe 7 minutes at most. I have a ton of music videos, songs and apps on it too.

I think the more often you sync it the quicker the process each time?

I sync almost every other day. I don't think that this is the issue
