Cancelled my iTunes Match subscripts a few months ago; double-checked today and it is still inactive.

Just noticed today, though, that for every song I import into my library, iTunes sends matching information to Apple and in some cases uploads the song. What the actual $&%k?

How can I block iTunes from evaluating my local library every time a new song is added?
