This was always temperamental, but recently (since end of last year) it never works at all. iTunes doesn't even see the iPhone at all unless there's a wired connection Has anyone else found this?

The only thing I can think of that may have broken it is using Handoff, but I've tried disabling and reenabling that and it makes no difference.

I tried searching around, but haven't found anything that looks like it may solve it.

Any help would be much appreciated.

itunes must be open on the computer its syncing to and the computer cant be hibernating. mine syncs without issue. so long as those basic criteria is met.

Yes iTunes is always running and the Mac is in use. Glad to hear yours is working.

I'm using iOS8 and Yosemite btw.

What do you mean by manual sync? You mean pressing 'sync now' on the phone? I have tried that and the Mac just doesn't see the phone.

Yes I have checked off sync over wifi. The phone just never comes up on the left hand side in iTunes.

I was wondering if this is a known issue in either ios8 or Yosemite, or if it was related to Handoff or something like that.

Man that's weird. I got the same setup running and mine works fine. The phone needs to be synced once first by cable I think before wifi sync will work.

iPhone 6+ and iPad Air 2. Router is Airport Express. iTunes is checked to sync over wifi. Unplug either device from my MBP and the device disappears from iTunes and cannot be synced over wifi.

It is 2015. Will Apple ever get this to work?

One thing I didn't mention is that my iPhone is jailbroken. Might be more stable with the updated firmware.

Also using Airport Express as my router.

Also it just started working again the other day. Nothing changed, just suddenly started seeing the iPhone.

Agree though, 2015, this stuff should just work.
