My iPhone is already unlocked and has installer.app. It is on firmware version 1.1.4 and I'm using iTunes version 7.6.2. I have two SIM cards. One SIM is my original ATT card (that came with the iphone when i purchased it from the ATT store), and another SIM card purchased to use in Thailand while vacationing (TH GSM Network).
When I plug my iPhone into my MacBook Pro using the Thai SIM card, iTunes will try to sync with the phone, but then eventually says that it cannot detect the phone. Everything else works fine with the phone but iTunes will not detect it. Once I place my original ATT card back into the phone, iTunes WILL detect it.
My main problem is: I want to ebay this phone so I can buy the 3G when i return to the USA. But I will not sell the phone if iTunes will not detect it (unfair to the bidder). Therefore, I'd like to make sure I can get the phone to sync with itunes and be detected using a foreign SIM before I put it up on ebay. Do I need to downgrade the version of itunes? Any help would be much appreciated! I'm stupid...
