I have everything syncing thru iCloud however I like to manually sync my email accounts for the mail account settings. Especially since I'm getting my iPhone 4 replaced today, I wanted to sync them that way I'd have all of my email accounts in place.

However, iTunes won't let me check mark the box for syncing mail account settings.

Ideas?

The "sync mail accounts" option will allow you to sync the mail settings from your email client on your Mac/PC to the iPhone, it will not pull settings from the iPhone and allow you to write them onto the replacement. I'm reasonably certain that email settings are part of an iPhone backup so if you are backing up through iCloud or to the computer, when you restore the replacement from the backup of the original, the mail settings should be inputted.

You are correct sir...however I still wonder why I cannot select the check box for the sync mail account settings.

I too am having this issue. I'm going to call Apple soon and see what they say about it.

iTunes will not let me sync my Mail Accounts?

I am also having the same issue. I have a new MacbookPro and even though I have wiped the phone completely and restore virgin software, set it up as a new phone, not connected to iCloud, it will not let me check the box Sync Mail Accounts.

anyone got any ideas or had the same problem?
