iTunes will not show/remember small album art!?

iTunes will not show/remember small album art!? How to fix it?

I've added album art and it works but when I right click and click show info the small album art is gone. If I drag the album art to that window it's shown again but after I click OK and right click and show info again its gone.

OS X 10.10.1
iTunes 12.0.1.26

No, it doesn't bother me enough to justify much work. I didn't even notice it until you pointed it out.
