I don't really know where to post this but I will post it here. Does anybody else use iTunes wishlist? As of tonight mine is completely missing and says nothing is on it. I had hundreds of songs, movies, albums, tv shows, and apps on my wishlist and it is all completely gone. I am really frustrated because I have been using wishlist for years and now everything is gone. Anybody else having this issue? Here are some links below with their wish lists gone too. Is there a fix?

My wish list is gone too. I'm not noticing any other problems with iCloud, but since this is affecting multiple users simultaneously, it's probably something we will have to wait for Apple to fix.

I am glad that I am not the only one having this issue besides the few people on the links I posted, maybe it is a widespread issue? When I clicked on my wish list and saw that nothing was there I almost started to freak out. I have been adding things to my wishlist for years and would really hate to see it all gone.

Hey, I use my iTunes wishlist and have been for years and now it's gone. Just like you I have tons of movies and music and TV shows saved and now I don't know what to do. The only thing I did today was download the new El Capitan update which I had been holding off doing because the last update erased all my playlists and that was really frustrating. I used iTunes before I did the update today and the wishlist was there and then after I installed the update now it's gone. POOF!! Please let me know if you find a fix and I'll do the same to you. Good Luck!

Glad I found this topic... I was freaking out and searching the internet for other people having the same issue. Hopefully this means it's coming back at some point soon and that all of our wishlists aren't gone!

Did you do the update for El Capitan or iTunes? On Saturday I took a huge risk and upgraded my Late 2013 retina MacBook Pro from Mavericks to El Capitan because I was having wifi issues on Mavericks. I completely love El Capitan because wifi is a lot faster than Mavericks but the only thing that I dislike are a few bugs here and there that I am experiencing. I was on the latest version of iTunes before I upgraded to El Capitan. My wishlist was there after I updated and it was there this afternoon. It was only tonight that I looked and it was gone. Call me crazy but I usually check my wishlist daily and sometimes maybe even more than once a day. Probably like you, I try to get sales so it doesn't cost as much to build my library (albums on sale for $5.99, tv shows, apps, and movies on sale also). Hopefully this is an issue on Apples end and they fix it so we don't have to start our wish lists over from scratch because that would take a while to do.

Thats why I created this thread because I was freaking out too. I searched the internet like you did and found the two posts on Apple Support. Hopefully it is a widespread issue and Apple can fix it so we don't have to start our wishlists over from scratch because that would be a real hassle.

I only did the El Capitan update. I found some other sites where people have said they lost their wishlists after the iTunes update but I checked and I have the latest version of iTunes. I also saw an Apple discussions thread where someone said that their list disappeared as they were adding to it so I'm not so sure anymore if it was because of the El Capitan update.

I don't think it was the El Capitan update. My thoughts are if it was the update, how come our wishlists are also gone on other devices also? I checked on my iPhone 5s and iPad Air 2 and my wishlist is also gone on those devices. I'm kinda thinking it is a widespread issue.

I agree with you. At first I just thought it was the update because the last thing I did before the update was on iTunes and then the first thing I did after the update was on iTunes and it was gone but I read the threads that you linked in your original post and it seems like more of a widespread issue. Thanks for your posts, I didn't find much else related to this problem accept what you posted. Hopefully Apple will fix it soon. Someone posted that it's really bad timing what with the holidays coming up and people gifting media so maybe Apple will take care of it quickly.

I have a question for you. Does your iTunes seem to take a lot longer to open after you updated? I have El Capitan 10.11.1 and it takes about 14 bounces of the icon when clicked for it to open. When I was on Mavericks it took about 4-5 bounces to open. Just wondering if you noticed a difference in opening speed whether you updated from 10.11 or something previous. My iTunes library is 377.42Gb and I am thinking that maybe El Capitan has an issue where it takes it longer to open a large iTunes library like mine. All my other applications on my mac open in the same amount of time as Mavericks. Just wondering if you noticed this from your previous OS X.

No it doesn't seem to take longer. I have a late 2014 Mac Book Pro and my library is about 2TB's and I keep it stored on an external drive so sometimes it stalls to load images but opening iTunes seems quick. I was having a problem a few months ago and I erased the OS and re-downloaded it from the web and that fixed about all the problems I was having with slow performance.

I have a question for you. I have noticed that iTunes has weird issues with the way in which it stores media files. When I go to finder, I see movie and TV files stored in multiple locations and when I try to move all the movie files into the same "Movie" file under iTunes Media it reverts them back to where they were before, but only after I play them. I have the "Keep iTunes Media Files Organized" boxed checked in settings but that doesn't seem to help. Also I noticed that if I am downloading a media file and for some reason it gets cut off in the middle of the download, the partial file remains in the "Downloads" file and I have to clean that out occasionally. Are you having this same problem?

Thats really weird how some people's wishlist is missing while others are still there. I don't understand how mine and other people's wishlists just disappeared without us doing anything.

No, when I go into finder my movies are all in the movies folder. I only have 38 movies though in my iTunes library. How many do you have, to where it could be a bug or issue because there are too many? Did you say that you use an external drive for iTunes? Could the external drive have something to do with it were there is a bug in El Capitan that causes it to try and import them from you drive into a media folder? I want you to try something. Unplug your iTunes library from you mac if it is an external drive and then go into finder and see if the movies are still there. Get back to me with you result.

Wishlist still missing. Did anyone's wishlist return? Anybody know a fix or anything yet that we can do to get it to show back up? If I have to rebuild my wishlist, I think I will start to keep a typed copy in Microsoft Word or keep screenshots because I have no idea of all the things that were on it but I know most of what was on it. I hope it reappears otherwise I will have to restart my wishlist that I have been adding to for years and that is gong to be a pain.

I just tweeted at Apple Music Help on Twitter about a half hour ago and I am waiting to hear back a response. Hopefully they get back to me on why this is happening and if there is anything that we can do to get our wishlists back. Hopefully they don't ignore me and get back to me. I will let you all know if I get a response back.

They just replied back and want me to get a hold of support. I will contact them and it will probably be a while before I hear back from them. Hopefully they can help.

I have close to 800 movies and I have moved them a couple of times from different drives due to lack of space. So I ejected the external drive and then went into Finder and the movies were not there. I checked iTunes under users and searched for random titles and nothing but this might be because I had just cleaned this all up. I have the external drive listed as the "Media Location Folder" in Preferences in iTunes and its been set up that way for awhile but iTunes was putting some movies onto my Mac's drive and then some on my external drive. This has been happening both with this current version of iTunes and before the last update. I suspect it could be a bug maybe related to the fact that I've used different drives.

I just chatted with Apple through the live chat thing and they are aware of the issue and working on a fix. This is also the response I got back

I suspect also that it is a bug since it started to just happen with the current version of iTunes and it was probably iTunes 12.3 when it started. iTunes 12.3 has quite a few bugs in it that I am noticing that are not fixed in 12.3.1.23. If it keeps happening, I would get a hold of Apple Support like I did for the missing wishlists and they were very helpful. I was chatting with them for close to 2 hours and they helped me to fix another issue where when I would import a cd it wouldn't organize the right way. They were very helpful and I suspect your issue is a bug and hopefully they are aware of it. You could also get a hold of support and let them know so they can fix it if it is a bug.

I noticed mine being empty a day or two ago when I went looking for past Siri searches. The tab next to wishlist will show you what Siri has identified when you ask her to listen to music. I asked Siri several times what song was playing, she thought for a minute, then failed. I thought maybe she found it and put it in the list like normal. Wishlist and Siri list are both empty at the moment. I'm not as heavy a user as some of you are with wishlist but I had a few items and they are now gone. I used the iTunes app on my phone to look and I do not have a MAC at the moment so not related to an upgrade there.

Weird... Haven't checked mine in a few weeks maybe, and now it is empty for all media types (except one movie I added yesterday). Even more odd, the 'Siri' section on iOS is completely empty as well.

Hope they get this fixed...
